Healthy Eating
While we appreciate that student life is not typically associated with lots of early nights and eating plenty of veg, there can still be some simple ways you can try to adopt a healthier lifestyle whilst studying at Surrey. Coping with exams and other stressful times can be helped if you are eating well, getting plenty of sleep and keeping fit.
It doesn’t have to cost you a fortune to eat well, in fact it is often cheaper than buying take aways and eating out. There are loads of healthy student recipes that can give you inspiration. Check out beyond baked beans for more inspiration. We should all be trying to eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day and maybe you can try to make some healthy food swaps in your life. These swaps don’t have to be boring, you could just try swapping pepperoni on your pizza for mushrooms, peppers or onion! Instead of having crisps, why not have a yoghurt instead or if you love a sweet snack then try having dried fruits such as apricots and cranberries instead of that chocolate bar!
