Mindfulness based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness is a meditation based approach for responding to the challenges of life. By learning ancient wisdom of these strategies for reducing stress we can find a greater sense of inner peace and wellbeing. The course involves following a program with a book and CD, complimented by supportive group sessions guided by an experienced mindfulness teacher. Book now.

Learning to be Assertive
Do you find yourself in situations where you feel intimidated, unable to speak to or when you do, you are not listened to?
Do you find that you are always saying yes, when you really mean to say no?
This is an informal 2 week workshop for any student wishing to boost their assertiveness skills. Some examples of what we will cover in the course include: Speaking up in seminars; Saying 'No' to people; Starting conversations; Putting yourself first sometimes. You will work towards your own goals and at your own pace, using practical strategies and peer support. You will not be 'put on the spot'. Please make sure you can attend both sessions. Book now.

Self Esteem: Become Your Own Best Friend
Are you your own worst critic? Do you limit yourself with negative beliefs about what you’re not capable of, or how you think others see you? We will explore some antidotes to this very common problem. But – self-esteem may not be what you think! Be prepared for surprises on the way to becoming your own best friend. Understanding Addiction
Addiction can take many forms, it can involve chemicals or behaviours. This group is for anyone worried about themselves or others and is an introduction to what addiction is, how it affects people and how you can begin to help either yourself or someone else. This group is confidential and is conducted in accordance with the Centre's guidelines on confidentiality. Book now.
