B-Lab: Biometrics & Security
Welcome to the B-Lab: Biometrics and Security. Security technologies offer measures that help to prevent crime, to protect infrastructure and individuals, and to facilitate transactions in a digital economy and e-government.
The main mission of the B-Lab is to advance the state of the art in security technologies. The work focuses on two main strands: biometrics and surveillance.
The lab addresses all aspects of vertical integration associated with the design, development and implementation of component technologies, as well as their integration into complete security systems.
The research activities are funded by EPSRC, the EU and industry.
