4 year EPSRC grant announced

Dr Bowden will lead a joint project with Prof A. Zisserman FRS (Oxford) and Dr M.Everingham (Leeds) entitled “Learning to Recognise Dynamic Visual Content from Broadcast Footage”.
The project will use standard broadcast footage along with the associated subtitles to automatically learn to recognise content. The two demonstration domains are Sign Language Recognition and more general gesture and activity in movies.
