Biography

Safak Dogan received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul, Turkey in 1995, the M.Sc. degree in Satellite Communications Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Multimedia Communications Engineering, both from the University of Surrey, UK in 1996 and 2001, respectively.

He has been with the I-Lab Multimedia Communications Research, CVSSP at the University of Surrey since 2001, and is working as a Senior Research Fellow.

Research Interests

Dr Dogan's research interests include video adaptation, transcoding, context-based 2D/3D digital media content adaptation, multimedia communication networks, low bit rate video communications, error resilience, multi-party conferencing, and video quality assessments.
