Dr Efrosini Protopapa choreographer to the Barbican Pit Theatre Laboratory Project

Dr Efrosini Protopapa, Lecturer in Dance and Choreography in the School of Arts and Programme Director of the MA Dance Cultures, was invited to work as a choreographer on a Barbican Pit Theatre Laboratory Project with writer/curator Isabel de Vasconellos and theatre director Kirsty Housley.
This initiative offered by the Barbican Centre and Guildhall Creative Learning aims to support collaboration, interdisciplinarity and experimentation. As part of the devising process, Efrosini introduced some choreographic tasks and tested her current research ideas on dance scores, game structures and the social dimension of improvised dancing.
