We were the first UK University to provide the full range of programmes in Dance Studies in 1982. The past decades have seen the department grow to incorporate the fields of film and theatre. Given its reputation as one of the leading research centers for Dance Studies, the current Department of Dance, Film and Theatre has built a reputation for rigorous programmes that integrate practical and theoretical studies, as well as preparing students for a variety of careers in all aspects related to the disciplines of dance, film and theatre.
