About MA Dance Cultures
In keeping with contemporary dance scholarship, the MA Dance Cultures introduces students to a range of theories and methods that will allow them to interrogate a myriad of dance practices. Through lectures, seminars and workshops students will acquire the necessary creative and critical thinking that will enable them to embark on independent research projects.
This vital intellectual climate is facilitated by a staff comprising of scholars and practitioners active in the field of international dance publishing and performance. From this, the programme prepares students both for doctoral research and further professional development in the field of dance.

The readings from the "Site-Specific Dance" module have been nurturing the soil of our practices. I've performed in a shopping mall, in a storage silo, in a kitchen and this summer we will be preparing for a piece in a "foyer" for immigrants. ![]()
