Placements around the world

Our Professional Training placement programme is one of the best in the world. Some students spend their placements with a UK company or organisation, some go to Europe or further afield.

In the past two years students have been on placements in Peru, Mexico, New Zealand, African countries and Australia. Others do projects with research organisations. During placements students are visited by teaching staff.

Going to university is a big step, so we’ll help you to feel at home right from the moment you arrive.

Whether you’re into clubbing or comedy, live music or pub quizzes, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained without even having to leave campus.

Our Students’ Union houses five bars and three food outlets, so you’re bound to find something that appeals to you.

Rubix, the Students’ Union’s 1,600-capacity nightclub, has the finest sound and light facility of any Union club in the country. Individual music tastes are catered for, with several music societies which stage gigs from trance, dance and funk to indie, rock and metal.
