Our campus hosts major national facilities such as the Ion beam Centre, which academics from other universities come here to use. These facilities allow our Award-winning researchers to change the world in important fields such as safe water, sustainable energy, communication, disease control and health.

The campus is patrolled by our friendly security team, whose on-site office is always open to visitors and staffed for phone calls.
The Students’ Union boasts three hugely popular entertainment venues on campus, all under one roof. The three venues — Chancellors, Rubix and The Living Room — provide a hectic social calendar throughout the academic year that is bubbling with variety and vibrancy.
The Students’ Union is a not-for-profit organisation run by students, for students. All students at the University are members of the Students' Union and you automatically become a member, free of charge, when you start studying here.
The Students’ Union has five bars, three food outlets and its own 1,600-capacity nightclub.
The Students’ Union is the guardian angel for students at Surrey. It has a team of officers voted in by the students, for the students.
