My CV

Cristiano completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at Bocconi University in 2004 before receiving his Master degree at Pompeu Fabra University in 2005. He started his PhD at Carlos III University before moving to University of Kent in 2006 where he was awarded the PhD in Economics in September 2010. He has been seminar-leader in various courses at Carlos III University and University of Kent. During this period he also worked for OECD and European Central Bank as a trainee. He joined the University of Surrey as a full-time lecturer in September 2009.

Research Interests

His research interests are in the fields of macroeconomic theory and numerical methods. His PhD focussed on credit frictions and the business cycle. Recently he started working on the introduction of factor substitutability and biased technical change in business cycle and on the interaction between monetary and fiscal policy in DSGE models with unemployment. He also continues working on credit frictions and especially in modelling the micro-foundations of banking and financial sector in macroeconomics models.
