Biography

Monika graduated as an Engineer in a double degree programme from Ecole Centrale Paris and Vienna University of Technology in 2004. She obtained a Master of Science in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2005. She then moved to the University of Oxford to read for a PhD, which she completed in 2009. During her PhD, she was a Lecturer in Economics and a Junior Research Fellow at Balliol College. From 2009 to 2011 Monika was an ESRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at LSE. Monika joined the University of Surrey as a Lecturer in September 2011 and remains a Research Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at LSE.

Research Interests

Monika's main research interests are in the field of international trade with a particular focus on international trade agreements.
