French Placements

For four to ten months, you will work as a stagiaire in French or Belgian companies with which we have contact. Some are very prestigious, and are well-known around the world. They are challenging placements, but at the end you should have acquired a good command of French, learned a lot about French culture in general and French business culture in particular. Moreover, you will have had an excellent work experience which you can refer to when you are looking for a job after University.

University Placement

You could also spend a year, or a semester, at the University of Lyon. As an Erasmus student you will be welcomed there by all the staff. The choice of modules is large, and in addition to language modules you can take options from History, Geography, Law, Economics and other subjects.

You can also study for one or two semesters at ISIT in Paris, a grandes écoles, which specialises in management with international communication, translation and interpreting.

Short Summer Placement

Finally, we have good contacts with small family holiday resorts. These are relatively short summer placements, where you will be working mainly as waiting staff, or looking after children, and always in a good atmosphere. These placements are very helpful for everyday French, and being immersed in French cultural life.
