Centre for Translation Studies
The Centre for Translation Studies (CTS) is a well-established specialist Centre dedicated to teaching, scholarship and research in Translation Studies. Since its inception in 1982, the Centre has established an international reputation in the field for both its research and its innovative taught programmes.
Our teaching and research activities reflect exciting changes which have been taking place over recent years in the scope of the academic discipline of Translation Studies. True to these developments, our activities now encompass audiovisual texts and ‘translation' between modes as well as languages.
The Surrey approach combines leading research expertise with professional relevance. We are proud of our active links with the leading professional bodies.
