Biography

Following on from his undergraduate degree in English Literature, Michael was employed in publishing for four years editing children’s historical fiction before returning to academia to work on his own period creative writing project. His research interests lay primarily in Victorian history, particularly the lives of gay men in nineteenth century London and the restrictions and dangers imposed by English criminal laws.

Michael is also Student Representative for English and Creative Writing PGR Students for 2012-13.
