Biography
Andrea Dlaska is the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching. She is Professor of Language Studies in the School of English and Languages and teaches modules on intercultural communication, migration and multiculturalism. Before she came to Surrey, she was Director of the joint Language Centre of the University and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. In previous positions, she worked at Warwick University as Lecturer in German and at Loughborough University as German Tutor.

- Internationalisation of higher education
- Migration and identity
Her most recent publications focus on the evaluation of formative assessments for language learners and the self-assessment of pronunciation.
