Biography

Anita has been working as an English for Academic Purposes tutor at the University of Surrey since 2009. Before joining the university she spent 18 years in Japan at the British Council and Tokyo Women’s Christian University and finally as Academic Manager of the NCUK Pre-Masters Programme in Tokyo. She has also worked on the Pre-Masters Programme at Queen Mary, University of London.

She has the RSA Dip TEFLA and an MSc in TESOL from Aston University.

Teaching

Anita teaches on the English for University Studies (EUS) and Pre-sessional courses, a number of English Language Support courses and on the Intercultural Communication module of the English for International Communication degree course.

Departmental Duties

Anita co-ordinates some of the English for University Studies courses and an in-sessional writing course for first year undergraduates in the School of Management.
