Biography

Judith Taylor studied at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Her PhD, awarded in June 2009, focused on the translation of detective fiction, and in particular on German and English translations of novels by Georges Simenon.

Research Interests

She joined the staff of the Centre for Translation Studies at Surrey as a post-doctoral research fellow in 2009, and works with Dr Sabine Braun on the AVIDICUS Project (Assessment of Video-Mediated Interpreting in the Criminal Justice Services, EU Criminal Justice Programme, Project JLS/2008/JPEN/037, 2008-2011 and Project JUST/2010/JPEN/AG/1558, 2011-2013)
