‘Surrounded by the excellent teachers, international students, nice flatmates, I am really satisfied with my life in this university.’

Tomoko Furuhashi
Japan, EUS 1, 2 and 3

‘Last year I attended the English for University Studies Language Course at University of Surrey. My first impressions were that the tutors and administration staff were very friendly, helpful and supportive people. I still keep warm memories about all my teachers. However, their good attitude toward the students is not the only reason I would recommend the course.
Firstly, the course is very well organised and is suitable for students with low to high levels of English. Secondly, the course helped me to develop my spoken and written English; it also helped me to develop my research skills and academic attitude.
For one year I improved my English a lot and at the end of the academic year I passed IELTS exam with an excellent score (Band 6.5). At the moment I am first year Law student at the same university and now I can put into practice all the skills I gained during EUS 1,2 and 3.’
