Ethical Procedures
Welcome to the Faculty of Arts & Human Sciences Ethics Committee (FAHS EC) web site. This web site has been designed to assist students and staff in the Faculty to ascertain whether research requires the seeking of favourable ethical opinion before being undertaken. If you experience any difficulties in processing your research, or any aspect of the site is unclear or not helpful, please do let the Ethics Committee know by means of an email to Julie Earl
The relevant research being considered by FAHS EC procedures are
- Undergraduate
- MSc
- PsychD
PhD and Staff research will be scrutinised by the University Ethics Committee.
This site allows you to check whether your research is exempt, requires you to submit your proposal to FAHS EC, University of Surrey EC or an external ethics committee such as the NHS (i.e. L REC, CO REC)
There are links to NHS, University of Surrey EC and other related sites. Should you need to submit your proposal to FAHS EC please complete the University of Surrey EC form via the link below.
If you need to seek FAHS EC opinion, then please complete the appropriate form which you will find on the Documents page. Submit a paper copy to Julie Earl in the Faculty office.
