The Values-Exchange Educational Technology

The Values-Exchange is an educational technology, formally based on the SCEPTrE (Surrey Centre for Excellence in Professional Training and Education) website, which also held the license for the software’s use on behalf of the University of Surrey. The license for the University is now held by Dr Doug Foster, based in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, who has used the technology for the teaching of values and ethics to a broad range of interested students across the university, but more specifically, on ethics, to a range of Management students in their final year, and to first year Business Management students.

Doug has been awarded two TeNT (Teaching with New Technologies) Awards (supported by CEAD and SCEPTrE) related to some of this work.  Whilst the primary purpose of the Values-Exchange is for teaching and learning around ethics and values, it also includes a powerful survey tool with the potential to become the module evaluation medium for the University.
