Graduate School

Welcome to the Graduate School in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. The Graduate School provides a home for the Faculty’s 650 plus, research students and engineers and provides a lively and engaging intellectual community in which to conduct research.

An ethos of quality and excellence underpins all the activities within the Graduate School both in terms of the research and its supervision, the provision of training and the facilities provided. We are justifiably proud of our record of excellence in postgraduate research and offer a rich variety of research topics for PhD study, through traditional routes and also through our highly successful EngD programmes.

The Graduate School exists to provide all of our research students and engineers with a positive, friendly and supportive environment. This starts at application and continues through your time at Surrey. If you are interested in undertaking a postgraduate research at Surrey please complete an application form.

For more details about our research, see the Faculty Research Homepage.
