How to Apply
If you are interested in any of our available projects, please make sure you meet the entry requirements before applying.
You are welcome to fill out our Speculative Application Form, where you will need to provide your CV in Word or PDF format. Your covering letter should explain why you are a suitable candidate for the SEES EngD Programme. Your application will be reviewed against each available project. If your background is suited to a particular project you will be contacted to confirm whether you would like to be considered for the post.

Available Projects
The requirements to be eligible for a full award (stipend and fees) are:
- You must have been resident in the UK for 3 years immediately prior to starting the EngD;
- You must have no restrictions on how long you can stay in the UK (e.g. indefinite leave to remain);
- If you are not a UK/EU citizen, you must not have been resident in the UK for full-time educational purposes within the last 3 years;
- You must have at least an upper second class honours degree, or a combination of qualifications and/or experience equivalent to that level;
- Postgraduate qualifications and industrial experience are looked upon favourably.
