Entry Requirements
The EngD in SEES is funded by the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council and specific eligibility criteria apply to all projects. Please review the requirements below and on the EPSRC website before applying for the programme. If you have any queries about your eligibility, please contact us.
The requirements to be eligible for a full award (stipend and fees) are:
- You must have been resident in the UK for 3 years immediately prior to starting the EngD;
- You must have no restrictions on how long you can stay in the UK (e.g. indefinite leave to remain);
- If you are not a UK/EU citizen, you must not have been resident in the UK for full-time educational purposes within the last 3 years;
- You must have at least an upper second class honours degree, or a combination of qualifications and/or experience equivalent to that level;
- Postgraduate qualifications and industrial experience are looked upon favourably.
