UNICEF Baby Friendly Certificate of Commitment

Surrey has been awarded a Certificate of Commitment in its first step towards gaining international recognition from the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.
Surrey received the Certificate in August 2011 in recognition of the high quality breastfeeding training it provides to midwifery students.
The Baby Friendly University Award was launched in the UK in April 2008. The Baby Friendly Initiative is a joint venture between the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
