How to request IT help from FHMS IT
User Support
There are a number of ways to contact User Support;
By Email: usersupport@surrey.ac.uk
By Phone: x9898 (01483 689898 off campus).
In Person: User Support Desk on the ground floor of the Austin Pearce Building.
Please take care not to contact individual members of staff, or there may be a delay in your request being resolved.
Information to provide
Please provide as much information as possible with your request, the following pieces of information are particularly useful in resolving your query promptly.
- Your name or the name of the person you are making the request on behalf of.
- Your room or office number, or the room where the computer in question is located (i.e. 18DK00, 31AY03 etc.).
- Your telephone extension number.
- The identity of the computer in question. Most computers in the faculty will either have a University of Surrey inventory sticker (K123456 etc.), or a MKIV workstation sticker (WS1234 etc.).
- If you think the problem is related to your network connection, please also include the outlet number from the wall (AZ123, 5/123 etc.).
