The Faculty Health & Safety Team provides support, guidance and training on Radiation Protection, Biosafety and Biosecurity, Incident follow-up and Investigation, Risk Assessment and Regulatory Compliance.

Reporting Incidents and Accidents
Accidents and Incidents should be reported to the Central Health & Safety Department by phone (9362) or email to: safety@surrey.ac.uk as soon as is practical after they have occurred.

Getting First Aid
In the event of a major accident or incident dial Security (3333 or 0800 525790) and tell them who you are, where you are and what the problem is. Security are the University Incident Controllers and will respond as necessary.

Security (3333) also provide the First Aid cover for low risk buildings (e.g. offices) and the general campus.  In FHMS areas where laboratory work is conducted local First Aiders have been trained and are also available to help.
