CRNME Commission Research

The Centre for Research in Nursing and Midwifery Education (CRNME) is committed to the study of the education of nurses, midwives, associated professional colleagues and their educators and a broad range of related areas.

CRNME’s approach is to devise research strategies which are appropriate to the questions and which also capture the perspectives of all stakeholders, whether they are health care professional, students, or service users.

CRNME also utilises the commitment of staff members to particular perspectives (such as ethnography, phenomenology, feminism, action research, narratives) and the expertise which members have in developing research from these perspectives. The Centre also has quantitative expertise and recognises the strength of multi-method research designs particularly those which combine qualitative and quantitative methods.

CRNME is committed to keeping abreast of developments in research technology such as online surveys and the computer assisted analysis of qualitative data (CAQDAS).

Please contact Dr Jill Shawe to discuss your research requirements.
