Champagne Tasting, 14MS01

Pol Roger, a Champenois from Aÿ, founded his champagne house in Epemay in 1849. Over the next 50 years, until his death in 1899, he built his business into one of the most respected in Champagne and, in particular, forged strong trade links with Britain.
The Traveller's Club, London
5th April 2011, 5pm, £15
The event will consist of a tour of the private Gentleman’s club, one of the oldest and most distinguished in London as well as a chance to choose some wines from t...heir extensive cellar to sample with the help of one of Europe’s best sommeliers. The tasting will be hosted in the club’s impressive Library along with canapés. David Broadhead, Secretary of the club (ex Manager of Claridge’s, Pennyhill Park and The Savoy) has also offered to share his experience with the group.
Food & Wine Society 25th Anniversary Dinner, The Savoy Hotel London
Monday 16th May 2011, 6.30pm
This year the society will celebrate its 25th year in operation at the University of Surrey. We will be holding a fantastic dinner event at The Savoy Hotel London and hope to invite as many members as possible along to the event with some of the top contacts within the hospitality industry. This is the perfect opportunity to network and showcase the talent that the students at the University of Surrey have to offer - great for future career opportunities!
