Biography
Catherine began her career in paediatric nursing, then gained a qualification in District Nursing. She worked as a community nursing sister for a few years then gained experience working as a research nurse and in occupational health before working in general surgery then orthopaedics in an acute Trust. Before joining the European Institute for Health and Medical Sciences [EIHMS] in 2000 she gained teaching experience at Crawley College of Further Education.

Teaching
Teaching psychology and nursing across pre- and post registration modules. Pre-registration modules: foundation of nursing care, foundation of health & social care, care delivery and interventions, acute care and rehabilitation and continuing care.
Post registration physical assessment, nurse prescribing and care of the older person.

Head of Student support for the Division. Module organiser for Foundations of Nursing Care. Link Tutor for locality 1.
Catherine has a particular interest in student welfare and support as well as developing the teaching of health psychology throughout the pre- registration programme.
