BSc Primary and Community Care
BSc (Ord) and BSc (Hons) Primary and Community Care
This programme has been designed to be readily responsive to the dynamic nature of policy, demographic change and technological development within the primary and community care setting. The programme structure supports the development of a wide range of individuals working or interested in the health and social care environment, both within the UK and internationally. The flexibility of study encourages shared learning across and within multi-professional and inter-agency groups. Offering both endorsed and non-endorsed pathways allows the opportunity for students to study an academic award without a practice requirement or professional qualification. In response to government policies and local service demands, the programme consists of a mixture of compulsory and optional modules. Guidance by the Director of Studies (DoS) and pathway leader will support you in selecting the appropriate optional modules to facilitate development within your specific area of interest in the primary or community care environment. The programme can be undertaken on a full or part-time basis according to University regulations.
Typical entry requirements
