At the University of Surrey, we have a long history of welcoming international students from all around the world. There is a considerable amount of university accommodation available, the majority of which is single study bedrooms with a shared kitchen and either shared or ensuite bathroom facilities. All full fee paying students are guaranteed* university accommodation for the normal duration of their degree course. The University’s student union, USSU, offers a wide variety of sporting and social facilities and clubs including more than 20 international societies.

"I chose the University of Surrey as my firm choice as it was ranked number one for my department, was affordable in terms of tuition and accommodation and offered a safe campus environment.  It also offered the option of an industrial placement in the third year which would help with work experience upon graduation.  The University offered guaranteed accommodation to all International students for the duration of the entire course, and its proximity and easy access to London were the other reasons I chose Surrey.

As I walked into campus I was impressed by its picturesque view and landscape.  I love the campus and it turned out to be everything I had pictured!  The teaching facilities impressed me and I in particular enjoyed the microbiology, chemistry and physiology labs during my first year.  The experience gained not only gave me the practical aspect of what I learnt but also the confidence to carry out experiments. My personal tutor and lecturers on my course have been very friendly and approachable.

Normal 'A' level / International Baccalaureate entrance requirements apply. Students holding the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) will also be considered for Bachelors programmes.
