Dr Thoko Kaime will chair an event on children’s rights hosted by the Royal African Society on 5 July 2011 at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. The seminar will address the theme ‘Blessing or a Curse- Analysing the Rights of Children in Africa’ and the panel of experts will discuss and debate the current issues around child abuse, trafficking and witchcraft-related abuse in Africa through the lens of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child and domestic legislation.
