Biography

Before joining the School of Law, Elaine Carter was an Associate Professor at the College of Law, Guildford. She has extensive experience of teaching and course design across both the academic and vocational stages of training in legal education. After teaching a variety of subjects and legal skills, Elaine has specialised in Property Law.

Alongside her design and teaching responsibilities at the College of Law, Elaine was one of the course designers and examiners for the Open University Land and Equity Course and one of the designers for the College of Law GDL Land Course, LPC Property Law and Practice Course and Housing Law and Practice Course.   

Elaine was also an external examiner for the Solicitors Regulation Authority and has been actively involved in the Pro Bono Department providing support to students advising on property issues.
