For Schools and Colleges
The School of Law at the University of Surrey is keen to work with schools and colleges to introduce and encourage the study of law. We work mainly in the Surrey/ Hampshire/ Sussex area but are also happy to engage with schools or colleges elsewhere in the country. We believe that the study of law is an option for any academically able student and that appropriate assistance should be given to students.
Given the impact of law on the day to day affairs of all members of society, we offer talks and other teaching and outreach events to students taking non-law subjects. For further information please contact us.
Law Revision Day
The School of Law is pleased to announce the inaugural AQA Law Revision Day, for students studying the AQA AS and A2 Law course. The two sessions will run parallel to each other on the day, and will be delivered by two senior examiners with a major examining board.
Taking place on Wednesday 4th May 2011, the day will cost £15 to attend, with a limited amount of free places available for those from state schools thanks to funding form the Educational Liaison Centre.

Streetlaw
With the support of the College of Law in Guildford, Surrey law students took part in a Streetlaw scheme for the first time in 2008/2009, and it is hoped that we will continue to build on the success of the project. Streetlaw raises awareness of practical legal issues (such as police powers, drugs, consumer and employment law) within communities by providing workshops on such issues to schools or community groups. Students giving the workshops also benefit, as it allows them to practice their team work, research and communication skills.
