Studying Law as an International Student

Studying law in England is a life experience rather than simply gaining a law degree and our International Student Office will give you more information about studying at the University of Surrey.

The world is becoming a global village and English is the language of communication. Thus, a degree from the United Kingdom means that you have an international work passport allowing you to communicate, negotiate and transact on behalf of clients, no matter where they are located.

A British law degree sets you on the right career path to fulfill those requirements as well as your personal ambitions. Furthermore the United Kingdom's membership of the European Union and its active involvement in the international community means that the study of law involves opportunities to study not just the law as it applies in England and Wales but also to study international legal subjects.

Arriving in the UK

The University of Surrey provides a Meet & Greet Service for International Students.  Arriving in a different country for the first time can be stressful. We want to make your arrival as pleasant and easy as possible.  This is why every year on specific weekends the International Office, with the help of our current international students, meets newly arriving overseas and EU students at Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

To find out when we can meet you at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, please contact the International Student Office via the Meet & Greet Service web page.
