Biography
Sanna is a PhD Research student in the School of Law. She holds an MA (Distinction) in European Politics, Business and Law from the University of Surrey. Her master’s dissertation focused on transatlantic trade disputes between the European Union and the United States involving the environment and the use of the precautionary principle. Her current research interests include the interaction between EU environmental law and International Trade Law of the World Trade Organization; laws guaranteeing rights of Indigenous peoples inhabiting the Arctic region as well as laws governing the conservation and use of wild animals.
Sanna is a member of the University of Surrey based Environmental Regulatory Research Group (ERRG) and the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
