The Library and Learning Centre also houses:
- SPLASH – improving students’ academic skills (level 3)
- ALS providing specialist support for disabled and dyslexic students (level 4)
- National Resource Centre for Dance (level 0)
Location
The Library and Learning Centre is situated centrally at the Stag Hill campus.
Disabled Parking
- There are 3 disabled bays on the South side of the building
- 4 further bays are located on the South side of the Teaching Block only a short walk from the Library.
Disabled Access
- Level 0 – ramped access via South West entrance self opening doors
- Level 0 – level access via the Learning Centre (South) self opening doors
- Level 0 – LRC (North) access from AC/AB (level 3) and via a ramp from the Lecture Block
Lift
There are 3 lifts in the building
- Lift from the west entrance, accesses to all 5 floors
- Lift in LC to access first floor entrance to LC
- Lifts from first floor within the LC building to access levels 2, 4 and 5.
- Levels 2 and 4 are split level, access is via a platform lift.
- Emergency Egress - each stairwell is a refuge for wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties
Accessible Toilets
- Levels 0, 1 and 2 - have accessible toilets in the LC
- There is an accessible toilet on level 0 near the West lift in the Library.
