Library & Learning Support

Distance Learners

The Distance Learners' Information Service (DiLIS) is here to help students studying at a distance to make optimum use of the University Library's resources. You can use the service if you are either:

  • a student registered on one of the DiLIS Supported Courses at the University of Surrey
  • OR a part-time doctoral research student
  • Additional help may also be available to assist Health and Social Care students whilst on placement.

(See the Services for Health and Social Care Placement Students page for more information on Library support whilst on placement).

If you are unsure whether you are eligible to use DiLIS, please contact us and we will be glad to advise you further.

Distance learning students who visit the campus for course modules etc, are entitled to use the full range of library services in the same way as full time students.
