Policy and Practice relating to Researcher Development

Our researcher development activity for PGRs and for research staff is largely shaped by the following (external / national) policies and practices:

QAA Code of Practice for Postgraduate Research Programmes

Researcher Development Framework

The Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers

'HR Excellence in Research'

We are currently seeking the European Commission's 'HR Excellence in Research' badging, which acknowledges our alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for their Recruitment.

Further information on HR Excellence in Research can be found on the Vitae Policy and Practice web pages.

Our submission for HR Excellence in Research includes an Action Plan resulting from an internal analysis of practice against the European Charter and Code.
