RefWorks and RefAware: Storing and Managing Your Information

This is an introduction to the online bibliographic software, RefWorks. RefWorks can help you organise your literature based information and allows you to import your bibliographic records into your own personal database. It will help you store your information and use it when writing your thesis or papers by formatting them as in-text citations along with a bibliography – in the output style of your choice.

This workshop will also include a brief introduction to RefAware, a web-based current awareness service to help you gather table of contents information from journals of your interest and to assist you in your information retrieval. Other current awareness online tools will be introduced to help researchers manage new information and engage with their research community.

This sessions will help researchers
• organise information professionally and ethically
• keep up to date with information
• engage with the scholarly community
