Other ways we can help
We are now pleased to offer the service of one to one appointments for early career researchers.
The key to enhancing your presentation skills is to practice.
Individual appointments are available for you to practice your presentation whether it is an hour-long lecture or a 10 minute session; whether it is for an interview, a conference or any other event; and whether you are an experienced presenter or new to presenting. You can get feedback on your presentation, advice on your visual aids, and help with answering questions from experienced researchers and presenters.
Email email@example.com to make an appointment.
An outsider’s point of view
As an early career researcher it is often hard to get a general perspective on things when you are so focused on your own research and opinion within your department. This is an opportunity to talk informally and confidentially to someone who is removed from your department but has been a researcher. These informal chats can be about whatever issues relating to your research career you would like to discuss. You may want to discuss your training and development, funding opportunities, working in your research team, networking opportunities, how to manage your PI, or any other aspect of your professional life. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment.
