University of Surrey students and staff
Undergraduates - using the University Library
All registered students are members of the Library. Registration for new undergraduates takes place in special sessions at the beginning of the programme. Full details of these sessions are sent to all students by the Registry Undergraduate Admissions Office prior to the start of the programme. When registration has been completed students may obtain a campus card from the Library. Your campus card is also your Library card. Proof of ID in the form of your registration form is required.
Postgraduates - using the University Library
Postgraduate students are required to register at the beginning of their programme of study. Information about registration is issued to new students by the Postgraduate Registry, through the post or in person. Students must bring a completed registration form, stamped by Registry to the Library to obtain their campus card.
All students: For computing registration students should consult their department
Staff
Staff with an official University Number will usually be able to obtain a campus card from the Library, on production of a stamped form from Payroll and some personal ID. A payslip is also acceptable for certain members of staff. Some members of staff, including Associate and Visiting staff may not have an official university number. If they want to use the Library, they should consult their Departmental/Faculty Administrator for information about the electronic Application for Library Services form.
For computing registration staff should consult their Department.
