Academic Integrity is a central concept in higher education, and one which the University of Surrey takes very seriously.  A key issue is ensuring that you do use others' work appropriately to avoid laying yourself open to accusations of plagiarism.  This session will discuss some issues around plagiarism (and how to avoid it).  It will also introduce the Turnitin tool that, as well as being used to help to detect plagiarism, can help students to improve their own written work with regard to how they use sources.
