The University Library subscribes to the Academic Complete collection, which contains the full text of over 70,000 books, and which is added to regularly.

Technical information:
Please note that Ebrary requires a small additional program (plug-in) to be downloaded onto your computer in order to access some functions.
On campus: The plug-in should already be available on compters within Student Open Access suites on campus. For members of staff with MarkIV computers, the software has been packaged, and can be deployed on request to user-support@surrey.ac.uk
Off-campus: The plug-in can be downloaded quickly and easily from the Ebrary website the first time you login (PLEASE NOTE: The Ebrary plug-in is not recognised by proprietary browsers from Internet Service Providers such as AOL or BT Broadband - please use the standard Microsoft Internet Explorer browser instead).

Ebsco (formerly known as NetLibrary) provides access to over 1,200 books that are recommended reading for taught courses at the University of Surrey.
