The simplest and quickest way to find good quality academic reading relevant to your lectures and assignments is to search for the online reading list using your module code. This will link you directly to eBooks and articles in eJournals as well as trustworthy websites. These lists can also be accessed via SurreyLearn.
Databases are online searchable resources which the library subscribes to. They provide access to a range of information including journal articles, newspapers and trade papers. Some databases will link to the full text of articles, others will only provide the reference.
Please contact your Information Skills Librarian for advice about searching key databases.
Freely available online resources recommended by your librarian
Previous exam papers provided by your department are available and can help you prepare for your own exams when used as part of the revision process. You can search for the past exam papers you need by name or by module code. If you have any questions or can't find the paper you require, your department may be able to help you.Accessing other libraries (SCONUL Access)
Reference management software
Many students and researchers find it useful to organise their bibliographic material using a reference management system. We recommend using RefWorks.
