The first MILES Ideas Exchange event will be held on 4th and 5th May and the theme for the event will be 'Sustainability'.
The Ideas Exchange will be an intensive two-day ideas generation event bringing together a diverse group of researchers and academics from the University of Surrey. During the event the group will identify research challenges relevant to the theme of 'Sustainability' and develop innovative project ideas to address these challenges. There is up to £30k available to support the research projects resulting from the Sustainability Ideas Exchange.
The event will create opportunities to collaborate with people from other disciplines and to work together in new, flexible and creative ways to develop innovative research ideas. We welcome participants from all disciplines and backgrounds. Please do not feel constrained by conventional approaches: the Sustainability Ideas Exchange is about creating connections between people who would not normally work together.
To apply to participate in the Sustainability Ideas Exchange please register on the MILES website. Then login and fill in our Expression of Interest form. The deadline for applications is 1 April.
