Congratulations to Rebecca and her  team (Co I’s Nigel Gilbert (Sociology), Paul Krause (Computing) and Johnjoe McFadden (Microbial Sciences)) on the success of their EPSRC ‘Bridging the Gaps’ application MILES (Models and Mathematics in LifE and Social Sciences). This is a 3 year programme that will support a diverse portfolio of activities aimed at promoting new research collaborations between mathematics, computing, the physical sciences and engineering and the life and social sciences. The grant is worth 636,899 pounds - and completes a 2009-10 EPSRC hat trick for Rebecca!
