The Surrey MBA offers a solid grounding in the theory and practice of international business management.

The one-year MBA course is intensive and delivered in four stages. Learning is interactive and in small groups.
Induction
An introduction to the programme, the Surrey Business School and the MBA team. This first week of teaching starts to build skills that will support you throughout your studies.
Foundation stage
Semester one
Gives a grounding in business management and leadership. Develops your understanding of modern organisations in the global context. Explores key narratives of the business world such as flexibility, dynamism, risk, technology, sustainability and social responsibility.
Specialist stage
Semester two
Allows you to tailor your MBA by choosing three modules from a range of six. Learning is put into practice with a business simulation project and a team based consultancy project for a business. Personal and professional skills are developed through workshops covering topics such as presentation skills and negotiation skills.
Dissertation
Your dissertation covers a subject of your choice and is the concluding stage of your studies. You will be supported by an academic supervisor throughout the process.
