This is an intensive one year programme delivered in four stages. Learning is highly interactive and in small groups.

Induction

An introduction to the programme, Surrey Business School and MBA team. This first week of teaching starts to build skills that will support you throughout your studies.

Foundation stage - Semester one

Gives a grounding in business management and leadership. Develops your understanding of modern organisations in the global context. Explores key narratives of the business world such as flexibility, dynamism, risk, sustainability and social responsibility.

Specialist stage - Semester two

Allows you to tailor your MBA by choosing three modules from a range of six. Learning is put into practice with a business simulation project and a team based consultancy project for a business.

Personal and professional skills workshops are delivered throughout stage one and two covering topics such as negotiation skills, strategic leadership and intercultural awareness.

Dissertation

Your dissertation covers a subject of your choice and is the concluding stage of your studies. You will be supported by an academic supervisor throughout the process.
