Dates announced for open days

Potential applicants wanting to find out more about The Surrey MBA can now book a place on one of our Saturday open days or Tuesday open evenings.
These two hour sessions give an overview of the MBA programme as well as the chance to hear from academics teaching on the Surrey MBA. Advice on applications and preparing to study are also available. Early booking is advisable.
Reims Study Options Confirmed

Students on the Surrey MBA will now be able to study one of their elective modules at Reims Management School (RMS) in France.
Located North-East of Paris in the famous Champagne region, accredited by EQUIS, AMBA and AASCB, RMS is one of the top ten Management Schools in France and in the top 30 in Europe.
As MBA Director, Dr Kerry Sullivan, explained, “The study exchange gives our students opportunity to further strengthen their international experience. We have a long running relationship with Reims Management School and I’m delighted we’ve been able to put this latest initiative in place.”
Prize for Surrey MBA Entrepreneurs

The Hamlyns Partnership are offering two prizes to the leading students in the Surrey MBA Entrepreneurship module. Known as the Hamlyns Partnership Award for Entrepreneurial Vision the cash prizes will be presented at an event in early November each year.
MBA Summer School 2012

Managing Innovation is the focus for the Surrey MBA Summer School this July. The final programme is due to be announced shortly but includes workshops addressing the psychology of creativity and innovation and the transformation of innovative ideas into viable products.
£5,000 bursaries available

We have now completed our planning for the forthcoming academic year and can confirm the level of bursaries available to eligible Surrey MBA and Surrey Executive MBA applicants.
All candidates who have accepted an offer by 31 May 2012 may be considered for a bursary of £5,000. To be considered, you will need to:
- Meet the entry standard for the Surrey MBA
- Submit a 500 word essay with your application that details what you hope to get from the MBA, and most importantly, what you feel you can contribute to enhance the learning experience for your fellow students.
If you don’t wish to be considered for a bursary please submit your application without an essay.
In addition to these enhanced bursaries we will be running a competition in the media for one full scholarship and two 50% scholarships for the Surrey Executive (part-time) MBA. This will be announced during April and details will be available on this website shortly.
To be sure of your place we recommend that you submit your application and accept your offer as early as possible.

Surrey wins Queen’s Anniversary Prize

The University of Surrey has been awarded a Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education in the Diamond Jubilee round for 2010-12. The award recognises in particular the University’s ‘in depth research expertise for improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation worldwide’. Representatives of the University will receive the award at Buckingham Palace on 24th February 2012.
MBA graduates in demand from charities and NGOs

Surrey Executive MBA student Andy Berry has been featured in a Guardian article looking at the third sector’s increasing demand for MBAs. Andy is due to complete his MBA this year and took up the programme in order to help him build his charity Touraid.
